MALTAFLOR the malt germination fertiliser
The MALTaflor Düngergesellschaft mbH was founded on St. Nicholas Day, 6 December 1994 as a subsidiary of Weissheimer Malzfabrik zu Andernach and is based on the development of a completely new plant-based fertiliser.
At the turn of the year 1995/96, the company was awarded the Rhineland-Palatinate Environmental Prize for this product.
In the following years, the MALTaflor fertiliser products customers in neighbouring countries due to their outstanding properties. Initial exports to Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden mark the start of operations in countries with particularly difficult climates or geological features such as Africa or India.
The MALTaflor International GmbH has set itself the task of successfully growing plants for the benefit of mankind, even under extreme conditions.
PBI Austria GmbH handles import/distribution in Austria and some neighbouring countries, as well as exports to the Middle East, Central America and China.
In 2010, MALTaflor International and PBI Austria jointly founded the MALTaflor Fertilisers GmbH in D-97469 Gochsheim and produce the brands Maltaflor and Sedumin as well as individual own brands for customers.
